Epiphone Embassy Pro - new colours!

Update here ya'll from this thread:
Epiphone Embassy Pro's Coming back??

Finally unpacked it tonight. Sales and QC owe me as it seems Epi's new box facilitates a scratch forming on the lower body just above the input jack.

Here's the probable scratch maker plus possibly shipping it on its side. Neither box(double boxed) had any sign of abuse or damage. Previous(old) Epi Embassy basses here did not have that extra cardboard IIRC.

Since we have loving dogs that sometimes jump/lean onto the side of wifey's shiny car with claws and leave scratches, I've found Meguiar's scratch remover works well. So I tried it on the bass and decided not to make the seller pay round trip shipping while I wait for a swap out. CHECK YOURS ASAP for scratch this when you get it. The fixer goop applies with a very soft cloth. This is one application with very little pressure applied. May have another round later after it gets some use.

And the result of round 1(a few seconds worth of circular motion). Red arrow points to the scratch.

I've got worse dings on other basses but not "brand new". Oh well......starting "road worn" while still in the box.

Haven't checked it with a tuner yet but it sounded OK(close or on the money...Sweetwater's work).
I do intonation after I put my lighter gauge strings on it tonight, let the neck sit/relax for a couple of days and then do set action and intonation. Case is supposed arrive tomorrow.
Could you post a close-up photo of the bridge/tailpiece/end of body area? That's where the former problem with the first batch was. Apparently at some point during that run, Epiphone moved the bridge and tailpiece approx. 1/2 inch closer towards the headstock making it impossible to move the saddles back far enough to intonate properly.

I haven't seen this discussed here, so I'm not sure when it happened, but there are new colours available. Thoughts?

Epiphone | Embassy Bass

I'd really like to hear about any comparisons between Graphite Black and Ebony, since online, to me, they both look black. But I'm also thinking the gold looks interesting.
I just got the red one delivered to me door today, and I'm pretty impressed. It looks lovely and sounds a bit like a Ric and a Thunderbird had a beautiful baby together

Sounds like another business opportunity for @godofthunder59 !

I'll try to get to that tonight and also provide measurements for earlier specimens that reside here now.

Mine is a 2017 and the intonation is spot on here. even at this angle (pf photo), you can see plenty of room there. I didn't know there was an issue with any of these. You'd think with the 60s birds being famous for this, they would have gotten it right this time...

I'm tempted to take it to my guy and have him shave the horn. Maybe even do a new headstock to match the original just because...
