Epiphone Jack Casady - Alpine White?

Brian Ray is the guitarist/ bass player for Paul McCartney's band. He doubles on bass, when Sir Paul plays a different instrument, then Brian plays a Jack Casady Signature bass, gold top.
Sounds great, of course. He's been using it in concert and for recordings for a few years now. Can you imagine how picky the band leader might be when it comes to bass tone for his music? Phew...
Paisley, great idea, Major Metal. Though, I still want to see one in transparent "Guild" red, or a red burst. I regret that I didn't get the sunburst finish when they were being made, but I absolutely love my gold top.
What about Pelham blue with white bindings?

It doesn't surprise me that Dave can play bass, but when does he play? That's Taylor behind him.
The 34" scale was one of the attractive features of the Casady, IMO. Also, I really like the single pickup placement.
I had a Gretsch Broadkaster that was a great-sounding bass. But I never really cared for the short-scale. And I never cozied up to the placement of the two pickups (which seems pretty standard in hollow-body short-scales). I like the Casady because the pickup is closer to the sweet spot I like on the Fender P's. On the Broadkaster, the neck pickup was too close to the neck for my tastes; and the bridge pickup was too close to the bridge. The Casady was much better for me. (Sorry to sound like a "Three Bears" analogy!!)
I love my JC gold top for this reason. Very similar to my 08 Am Std P in the 250 setting. I think it's really a very versatile bass. Just bought mine in December and love it.

My new white JC bass will arrive this Friday! I just couldn't help myself when I saw it as I have something of a white bass fetish as well but haven't owned anything white in years. (So thankful there's no gold hardware!!!)
Now the question remains... will I keep my silverburst too? I absolutely LOVE the Jack bass so I will probably search hard for a way to justify having two.

I love my Silverburst! I cannot imagine selling it although I have said that more than a few times in the past! Mine plays so well I cannot imagine getting rid of it just for another bass of a different maybe I'll get another one and use different strings on it!

Congrats Man, rock it hard! Yeah keep the other one, that way you can keep flats on one and round on the other!
Pelham Blue Jack would be mandatory...when they did the PB L.E. at Epiphone I was bummed the JC wasn't included.

Not sure about swapping out the PU (although I'm sure I'd do it for a Darkstar), but all the other, yepper, you betcha. I'd really like to do a white pearloid PG. For me, that'd be the cat's meow.
