Episode 88: S/D thread - No Hope

Haha. Reminded me of this:

I've thought that too. He's such an insanely annoying character it can't be an accident. Surely someone working on that movie realized...

I don't think Jar Jar is intentionally bad and I would imagine that a lot of people working on the movie knew how terrible it would be...
... but I get the feeling that George Lucas isn't a person that would entertain suggestions from staffers. I could be wrong, but c'mon, it's George Lucas.

Hey fellas, what's everyone talking about this afternoo...

Got a pretty interesting project lined up via a craigslist buy. Don't want to say anything to jinx it before it's in my hands. Should be picking it up tomorrow morning.

Off to band practice, going to tighten up the new tracks and run through the set list a couple of times. (Sorry Corey)

You write killer songs all done by yourself every once in a while. Thats a lot to say. Thats a ton more then me :)

Thanks man. I haven't been getting much done at all lately, musically speaking. I've been working my tail off, no band practices, been too tired to do much in what little free time I've had. I've been trying to push myself to do more solo work on my own. There's a new band theoretically in the works, with the guitarist/singer and drummer of a band I've been playing with a few years, but it's on hold until the recording project that's in progress is finished and we can call it done with that band.

I haven't had a band practice in at least a month though. On top of working through last weekend, it's making me a little crazy. I recorded a couple riffs the other day real quick, that's about all that I've had going on musically. That and I just downloaded a bunch of raw tracks to enter a mixing contest. Just for the practice, so I can work on something other than a piece of music I played on almost a year ago and don't even like anymore lol.

Don't apologize, I want everyone to be playing music and enjoying themselves. I almost want to just go find a blues jam this weekend. I'm talking crazy now. I might have to tie myself to a chair this weekend, like in a werewolf movie.

Corey I'd jam with you if you lived closer :( You're such a nice and talented guy it blows my mind you have such a hard time getting projects off the ground.

Thanks man, that's nice of you to say. This area just sucks for music and I've never been a city guy. I lived in SF a while and it had a lot of things I like, but urban environments harsh my mellow.
