EQD Afterneath Settings Thread

I haven't used a Flashback Triple delay,maybe someone who has could chime in?
However,I do use a regular Flashback delay paired with an Alter Ego Flashback delay for ambient jams. On my pedal board right after the 2 Flashbacks is where my Afterneath sits.
I`m not a pro at making dreamy soundscapes,nor am I a master knob tweaker(wait,what?) but I find it a bit simpler to use the Afterneath and get good results compared to goofing with stacked delays.

I find that I keep putting my Afterneath back on my board, and I do, indeed, use it for a more traditional reverb sound. I basically have the Drag set all the way clockwise (around 4:00). I tend to manipulate the other knobs depending on my mood, but the Mix control rarely exceeds 9:00 (unless I'm feeling particularly adventurous).

I was messing around with some fantastic ambient soundscapes in D Phyrigian the other night (with no third - interesting sonic possibilities there!). I think the Length, Mix, and Drag controls were all set to noon. I didn't go too wild with the Reflect control (maybe 10:00) because I was able to create just enough harmonic structure where I was (i.e. I didn't need too many repeats). It was wonderful.

Cool, I'll have to try messing with some of your suggestions.

It's not that I have a hard time finding a "normal reverb" sound. But then again, I do. Either way, when I actually use it with the band it sounds glorious. I'm still searching for that regulatory type reverb out of it though.

Just wanted to revive this thread in saying that I got my hands on one of these after lusting after it for a long while, watching reviews etc etc. All the typical gas building activities we slowly torture ourselves with until we can't stand it any longer.
I have to admit I turned the lengthen to full clockwise and freaked myself out before I realized what happened. lol. Lesson learned. There's lots to explore just wanted to say thanks to all who put their two cents in here... I've been experimenting with the suggestions one by one and they each have a unique character. I think anyone looking for a traditional reverb is going to have a hard time since those pinging delays are always going to be there (it seems to me). That said, who wants a standard reverb when we can climb down adventurously into the chaotic and mysterious caverns of the Afterneath! Happy experimenting everyone.

I'm resurrecting this thread.

I was fooling around with this little side/overflow board this weekend. I want to try a lot of the setting mentioned in this thread for the Afterneath. Me and a buddy are messing around with a cover of the main title to The Shining and I definitely have to get some Afterneath on it.

I just got mine after watching the vid of Juan playing it
I've got mine setup like this
length a touch low of 12
diffuse at 1pm
dampen at noon
drag a touch high of 12
reflect 1
mix 4

Along with a volume swell, it's long enough to fill the space without things getting too crowded. The pedal completely changes my whole sound, which is exactly what I want my pedals to do! My guitarist is jealous

Maybe the switch? The V2 has a soft switch but I know they have started using "flexiswitch" which allows for momentary operation in addition to it being a soft switch. I may be mistaken though

I love the sounds in this box but I don't currently have a use for it. Mine is up for sale in classifieds.
