oofgah. it's got some gimmicky stuff in thare like on the Rainbow Machine that i don't see being useful more than once. but overall, the octave up and down sound GOOD, and the tiny latency for them coming in gives it an interesting swell feeling. EQD Organizer with Malekko Bit on bass - YouTube zoop.
yah. it DOES feel like a better sounding Micro Pog with more options to me. in a smaller box. the up octave on the Micro Pog always sounded SUPER tinny and nasty to me. kinda dig the way this one sounds though. and LOVING the Bit. so much anger fun.
Hey Ben, how's the tracking on the lower octave? I know you mentioned that there are some slight latency issues, but do those sub-octave notes come through relatively cleanly throughout the range of the bass? Sweet demo though!
thanks homie! the tracking is really good actually. the latency thing i think was planned. with held notes it gives it a kind of blooming effect that helps it go for that organ tone they're aiming at. but it seems to track really accurately all over. the sub stuff gets not good really low on the B string, but that makes sense. speakers don't even have a hope of reproducing stuff THAT low. really does feel like a better sounding Micro Pog Ultra the more i play with it. and i trust EQD with quality control stuff a LOT more than EHX.
Sounds cool. Might need to check it out if I ever decide to get a digital octave pedal. Those sounds are very reminiscent of IDM, Boards of Canada sort of stuff, really nice!
Cool, thanks for the demo! Sounds intriguing, and I like that it draws <100mA (70 according to their website) = PP2+ friendly.
Nice to hear that the latent tarcking thing is actually a good and original aspect about this Organizer. All for original tonez!
hah! a bud just pulled this off of EQD's site when i was saying how this make me think of what the Micro Pog should have been..... ----------------------------------------------------- FAQ: Actual questions we have been asked... Q: This doesn't sound just like my EHX POG, is it broken? A: No. Q: Can this sound just like the EHX POG? A: No. Q: Why doesn't this sound just like my EHX POG? A: Because it's not supposed to. Q: Can I remove the "Warble"? A: No, it's part of the sound.
pew pew PEW. it's.... pretty freaking awesome. with bass i don't use the actual bit crushing much. drum loops and orchestral stuff? boy HOWDY. but on bass i'd rather have fuzz or distortion than the lo fi crush noise. the Bit has all the sample rate reduction goodness i adore and it's so MEAN. great pedal.
lol. i KNOW. using the Organizer at practice last night, octave up some, octave down a smidge, choir and lag about half and it was pretty subtle but a nice different feel when stuff was busy, BEAUTIFUL in quieter parts. it's kind of like.... if you described the mwahhh of fretless to somebody who only ever listened to IDM. in a good way. i digs it. but yeah, the Organizer is more subtle, the Bit is angry GRAAAAAAAAAAH goodness.
