Did you ever entered in the house,with your eye glasses on your nose?
If outside is cold (wich in many cases means "dry"),your lenses would become opaque and you'll need either wait a few minutes to clear up or quickly wipe them with a rag.
The same applies to the loudspeakers in a cab,but on a different (larger) scale.The cones are made from paper (sometimes impregnated on the front side,but mostly bare) and bringing a cab from outside in a warmed room (wich,obviously,has a higher humidity than the outside/car/van environment) makes the cones heavier and softer due to the instant humidity suction.If your loudspeakers have neat,shiny polypropylene cones,the effect is more visible,they become opaque and clear after a while.
However...condensed water seems to be the cause because it adds significant mass to a cone,especially if it's made of non-treated paper.And because of the same phenomena,the change of the suspensions and cones' stiffness is the second issue.
I'm passing through the same sound variations but in a reverse order...my band rehearsals' hall is a relatively humid one and we don't move our equipment from there,except when we're gigging.These are my shiny hours,sound-wise...because my drivers get the chance to dry themselves!
Otherwise,the amp's warming time is another thing to be considered.
Regarding tubes,it's obvious to everyone that they need a few minutes to warm up for a cathode emmision "by the book".
The SS amps need the same approach,contrary to the popular belief that "SS play instantly on full parametres".In fact,they don't,because most SS amps' driver and output stages are designed to work optimally in a given (higher-than-ambient) thermal regime.Even if this regime is much more colder than the one required by tubes,a MOSFet-or-whatever SS device becomes fully stable when it reaches a certain temperature.
