I posted this question in the Ergo megathread but I realized it makes more sense here...
Got a weird problem with my (new to me) Ergo 5(E-C). I just plugged it in for the first time last night for band practice and discovered that stopped notes on the E string decay very rapidly compared to stopped notes on the other strings. The open E does seem to be quieter and decay slightly faster than the other open strings. Anybody have any idea what this is? Dead string, setup issue, piezo setup issue? I can do recordings this evening if that will help diagnose the problem.
