Eric Wilson's Bass

I am looking to purchase a bass and want Eric Wilson's tone. I've heard that he used a Fender Jazz, Fender P and Music Man Sabre. Which of those three would you recommend(I know he uses a Celinder now but am not looking to spend that much)?

Of those 3, my initial guess would be the Sabre, heavily favoring the neck PUP. But there are so many variables in the signal chain.....
