Are you talking about "tension" as in pulling weight, or "tension" as in stiffness/flexibility?

I haven’t noticed a difference like that, i landed on EB strings due to price mostly (and that’s silly because I rarely change my strings) but i have Ds on a couple of my basses and i like them too.
regarding price, i have found more bulk sets of EB strings for way less than other strings online. I like to keep fresh sets on hand for “just in case” and I haven’t had a bad string from them yet, Unfortunately i cant say that about some more expensive strings that I have tried.
