People have been mentioning "canned" music, but (I read a book during but watched the entire Grammys) it seems like more than half of the acts had real instruments playing in real time.

We haven't seen much from Madonna lately........coincidence in timing of Lady Gaga's fame ? (Bruce Wayne/Batman) explains the costumes and the funky face.
How true! It's funny how some articles about the Grammys are blasting them because they think the awards should go to people that get the most website hits.

aw, now i'm starting to feel bad for the bieber. well his music isn't very good, but i will admit he's talented. but he's not esperanza talented.Bieber's on Conan, and you can just tell that he's still irritated about last night

But to celebrate her achievement I got myself one of these...

hey, she's 18 now. all bets are off.
anyway, the only thing that sucked about esperanza winning is that she wasn't competing against lady antebellum. maybe they're really nice folks but they come across so uptight like they take themselves so very seriously. they seem so humorless and dry compared to the country acts i dig, most of whom are now either dead or in their 70's
but it did feel good to know that the bieber got entirely shut out. that kid's a little uppity. so to bring him down to earth even more than his crushing defeats tonight, let me remind you of my favorite moment with the bieber:
Dude, Bieber's already worth more than Esmerelda and all of us put together will ever earn in a life time COMBINED - I doubt he's worried about Fav New Artist.
I don't feel bad for him at all.

I'm happy he finally got a dose of reality....the boy's living in a bubble....and thinks he's Michael "freakin" Jackson.

oh i bet he's eating his little bieber kishkes out. if there's anything 16 year old pop star brats want more than money and girls, it's respect from their peers.

Dunno about that. Esperanza's talent and fame will only become greater, because she makes non-expendable music, and has a solid musical foundation that wasn't built on hype. When her considerable looks and youth fade (which is sadly inevitable), her talent and creativity will always be there. In other words, she's the real deal.
Teen sensations usually have a good 2 or 3 years before their target audience (impressionable young people who move on and grow up very quickly) denies that they were ever fans. Some might even grow up and graduate to music made by the likes of Esperanza.
