In fact I've just done a little research and could not find anything that said Claypool was on drugs. Do you think you could fill me in on where you saw this? I am not saying you are wrong, I've just never heard it and would like to see if it is credible.

well i can in no way prove this but when i saw the frog brigade live on april 21st 2002 (i think thats the year) i dont know if he was celebrating with what was left of his 4:20 stash, but he announced to the crowd "god im so high" or sometrhing along those lines.

wait.... igot something much better. what do you think the song "over the electric grapevine" is about? It's about Les and a friend taking a road trip to LA while they were on hallucinogenic drugs, including acid. Big coincedence that that song is on tales from the punchbowl huh?

Yeah I think Claypool smokes weed mostly but honestly I don't think that had a lot to do with Tales From the Punchbowl. I think that's just Primus being Primus. I personally didn't find it overly weird considering that it is Primus. I know that Herb doesn't do drugs. He's a health nut...that's how he got his name...because he's so into medicinal herbs and whatnot.

I thought I'd hate The Brown Album and I picked it up used (for 4 bucks) anyway. While it does rank at the bottom (or near it) of Primus recordings, I actually don't think it's that bad.

I agree with you on this one. The disc is good, but the recording quality just plain sucks.

Les did some cool stuff with a band called M.I.R.V.'s Cosmodrome.

I know it all. I own every single album Les ever put out. I own it all. I suggest Frizzle fry if you were only going to buy one, because it's a lot less wierd. I find with most people I show primus to I start off small like frizzle fry, cuz later on with tales from the punchbowl they were doing so many f*$king drugs, that album is soooo wierd. Buy frizzle if your only looking for 1 album, but if you want even more then look into sailijng the seas of cheese, and pork soda, both very good. By the way if you were looking for the cd with tommy the cat it's on sailing the seas of cheese.
