OK, I'm sure this has been discussed to death somewhere, but the search feature isn't helping much. I'm very seriously considering pulling the trigger on the Rondo P bass starter package, since its just so stinking affordable, and I just want to make sure I'll enjoy playing the bass. I'm also in an apartment for the summer, so a loud amp won't score me points with the neighbors anyways. I also have to fit it in my car to take back home, so a small amp is optimal.
I also know that the included bass is lower quality than the regular ones. My questions are:
1. How much lower quality, and in what areas?
2. Is the amp at least good enough to dork around on for a few months while I learn? I'll get a serious, big amp later if I decide I like what I'm doing. This way, I don't sink money into a expensive but slightly to quiet to play with a drummer amp. I can just go for the big one right away. That being said, if I can't hear anything at all, its not going to do me much good.
3. Do I need to buy anything else with the package to get started?
Anyone who has bought or played one of these, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
