After Peter Gabriel left Genesis I lost interest, never lost interest in his solo albums.
After Songs from the Wood I kind of lost interest in Jethro Tull.
Hung in 'til the end with Pink Floyd.
Always happy to hear any King Crimson.
I kind of lost interest in Gentle Giant after The Power and the Glory or Freehand.
Hung in there for Bowie until Let's Dance.

Liked Yes starting with 90125.
Am a fan of Peter Gabriel's solo work and Genesis after he left.
Could only tolerate Aqualung.
Loved Floyd after they got rid of Roger Waters.
Never cared for King Crimson at all.
Have no idea who Gentle Giant is.
Enjoyed Bowie starting with Let's Dance.

Geddy played Roundabout, so maybe they wanted a definite pick sound on OOALH.

$100 bill says its was a loaner or rental bass, nothing more.

Well on the Fenders it does.

Uh, no plastic film was ever used on Rick pickguards, that's more of a 7ender thing.

So one TB member adds an apostrophe where it's not necessary and another omits one where it is necessary. What's the world coming to? If we had enough decals and stickers we could fix this problem. And many more of this world's problems. As you can tell I'm a fan of apostrophes.

I would have thought it'd be the opposite, you can't even hear the pick in "Owner of a Lonely Heart, in fact there's very little treble, I never would have known it was Chris Squire.

I’m fine with leaving the Ric flag decal on, but when people insist on keeping the push/pull tone knob descriptor decal on, it completely baffles me. I’ve even see one or two photos where the treble pickup cover was removed but the push/pull knob decal remained on.

For sure. Closer than 20 years... But not much.

I prefer the more refined sounds of prog groups. I have a hard time with freshman year weirdnesses while most of them developed. That being said, I do prefer older Rush. ... But also 80's synthesizer Rush. So I'm weird, myself.

On the original it was Trevor Horn producing, he seems to have a major influence on its sound...he also was the person that insisted this would be made into a song after hearing (guitar Trevor) playing a riff during soundcheck.

But back to the RRHOF performance, if you hear Geddy on Roundabout, he has a very meatier tone going on, it sounds good but way fatter than Chris' tone.

Yes, the riff to 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart' is catchy and I'm not expert on either one but Chris played with a pick right next to the bridge and Geddy used his fingers, Geddy used a Jazz on that too didn't he?

The one that completely blows my mind is that Pat Metheny still has the plastic This Is What This Knob Does overlay on his Roland G-303 guitar. C'mon dude, you've been playing that same axe for close to 40 years, is it really that hard to figure out what 6 pots and 2 switches do?!?!

I would HIGHLY recommend Gentle Giant - unusual, but damned fine musicians.....start with "The Power and the Glory". You'll thank me later..Then, listen to Camel (The Band) "Mirage"....your life will be transformed into a special place
