I've seen vic use his, he tweeks harmonics and stuff with it...sounds pretty cool. I've HEARD les use his, but never seen it, he just bends notes still sounds really cool though.

Les Claypool is of Primus correct? If he is indeed of Primus he is one good player. I heard his rendition of the Black Sabbath classic "N.I.B" and it was rather good.

Yea Les Claypool is the Primus dude, but Victor Wooten is like 100x better IMO, check out his stuff, you might like it.

apples and oranges = vic and les

vic certainly has the chops of 10 leses
but les has a VERY distincitve sound, he is very creative and he has an impeccable sense of strange rhythmns.

they are both excellent players.

I swear on all that is unholy this guys hand and fingers are a complete blur. He play the ENTIRE Anesthesia(Cliff Burton solo) in under a minute. The guitarist is amazing the drummer is fast and furious and has style in his patterns. I don't think anyone could play as fast as these guys. They don't have albums and they only tour on the true underground metal scenes...quote from bassist: "We don't need...need to get approval, just...we f******play our songs and let the other band come on stage and rip it, then go home". He's not the most intelligent but he is fast on the four-stringed monster. quote from the guitarist: "When we f***it up, you know we were f******' there, I mean when Dave[drummer] hits the cymbals we better be ready to f******' go!" Again, they're not the smartest bunch, but damn!

Its however hard to play really fast. Sean Malone himself said that the music that caused him the most trouble playing was Spastic Ink due to that it was so incredibly fast. And Sean Malone is one hell of a bassplayer so he knows what he is talking about.

I don't care what you say about sixsixtysix there is noone who can play faster than these guys. There might be someone who can play as flawless but not as fast or faster.

True but its just a matter of opinion. I prefer Jazz over rock so of course i'd think that wooten is better, but yea there both great players and each deserve cudo's of there own.

Coypu: didn't you read the rest of this post. They don't have any albums, they don't even record live stuff. They are not into commercialsm(spelled right?). Come to southwest Ohio/northern Kentucky and find them yourself. They usually play near here.

Are you familiar with Shawn Lane? Are you claiming the their guitarplayer is faster?

Have you heard Origin, is their drummer faster than that guy?

Have you heard Chris Richards of Suffocation or Pete Perez of Spastic Ink? Is the bassplayer faster?

I somehow doubt it so check them out and try be with honest with us.

Okay I'll make it so noone can argue with my statement: I DOUBT anyone is faster than these guys. I have never heard anyone play faster and I have heard tons of people. So once again I DOUBT anyone can play faster than them. Better? And did I spell commercialsm right??
