Ever screw up at rehearsal?

Then there was the time (at a gig) where I thought I was boosting bass on my amp (Ibanez Promethean P3110) but the EQ knobs are in reverse order on that amp from all my other amps - L to R: Gain, treble, mid, bass, phat, master, so I was boosting treble (thinking it was bass), like, all the way, and cutting bass (thinking it was treble)! Everyone was saying how cutting my tone was. I was so mad at the amp until the next morning when I realized what I had done. :help:

Oh, like when I forget I was in drop-D for the previous song ?
Where did that dang 'A' go ? It was here earlier this evening. :rollno:

Forgetting to re-engage my Hipshot D Tuner is one of my greatest hits! As stated before, when this happens I usually look at the drummer and nod toward the guitarist. He does that same if he ever flubs a fill.

It would be easier to tell you how many rehearsals I've never screwed up in some fashion. When I screw up enough for anyone to notice i usually get anywhere from a furrowed brow to stinkeye, but most times when I fumble I fix it quick enough they don't catch it. :D

happened a couple of times in my old band

one time they txt me and asked if I could learn 'Uptown Girl' (Billy Joel)
I learnt the song and the BV's, get to rehearsal, drummer counts in 1,2,3,4 and we start - I look at guitarist, he looks at me, drummer looks confused and we stop.
I asked guitarist what key he is in and he said 'D'.... 'Ahhhh' I said - it should be in E.... Guitarist looks confused, then drummer gets out the laptop and plays the song.... the 'Westlife' version of the song - which is indeed in the key of 'D'.... turns out our Drummer didn't even know it was a Billy Joel song!
We never did rehearse or play that song

another time singer txt and asked if I could learn 'One Love' from Bob Marley but learn it down a key so drummer could sing it better.... I hated the song (still do actually) but learnt it in the key they wanted.... then get to rehearsal and find out that Drummer / singer have learnt 'Is This Love' from Bob Marley and me & guitarist had learnt 'One Love'!
We all had a good laugh about that one

When did I not, -in rehearsal- ? LOL ;)

Performance is a different matter. OF COURSE I miss a note, here and there. Mostly there.... Isn't that for the practice room and rehearsals? :bassist::bassist:

But I'm "only" the bass player, so nobody (sorry) notices. :smug:

Well, my lead guitar will notice, but he just smiles.
