I bought a MoMark head like 6 years ago..when it started making noises I knew I was never buying another Markbass amp again. I knew before that honestly, but I used it as long as it lasted.

I don't like that McDonald's uses chicken from China.I wrote off Monster Cables and McDonalds.
Folks in developing countries can be unhappy with an entire brand.

I hear this a lot about Mike Fuller. I bought his latest Rangemaster clone and had issues with it. He replied usually within a few hours and was very cordial. I guess individual result may vary?Fulltone as a whole is completely off of my purchasing radar— the owner is the worst IMHO![]()
Lately, yes. There was a time in the late 90s to early 2000s when I was a total fanboy. If EHX didn't make it, I didn't need it. The big-box 24V Deluxe Memory Man is my oldest pedal and also my deserted island pick. I feel like they may have lost their way with the Nano series. Their pedals used to be the most expensive, but they did more than any other brand (I'm of course not including Line 6 because modeling is cheating, IMHO). Now they want to be small and around $99 to $199.99. I feel like they got sucked into the quantity over quality spiral.EHX.

Never. I recommend my approach: with a single exception in my adult life, I do homework before spending my money. This might come off as a rant or get labeled as "1st world problems", but I recently bought a pedal from a very respected, high-volume maker. I'm not "naming names", but I'm disappointed. Literally every pedal I've bought from them is posted on Reverb the same day as trying them. Most pedals I give a period of "getting to know each other", but every one of their pedals gets a "nope!" almost immediately.
Ever have this happen?
*rant compete*
Wow. So 100% of your gear purchases worked out exactly as expected? You sir are a gawd among men.Never. I recommend my approach: with a single exception in my adult life, I do homework before spending my money.
Gibson effect pedals? Brassmaster?Gibson come to mind.
The same way I'm angry at Samsung for how they treat AKG members!Yup! Peavey. I am still infuriated at the way that they treated their Meridian, MS employees when Peavey decided to close the plant down. Peavey is the most greedy, two-faced company that I have ever seen. I used to buy a LOT of Peavey gear, mostly amps and speaker cabinets. Never again.![]()
