After a 2 year absence, I am back in the EBMM club with my new 2007 Limited Edition StingRay. I traded in some guitard gear and paid a bit of $$$ on top. This bass looks amazing in person and sounds great. It gives me the ability to get P like tones as well as being a slap machine like a Jazz. I don't normally like maple necks, but it rocks on this bass and looks cool too.
I am actually selling most of my basses (I have 12 which is idiotic and they are not all being played) and will likely just keep the new SR, my Sadowsky NYC 4, a Fender P, A Fender J and my other purchase today, a Sadowsky MS5. I think 5 basses is still too many, but this will give me total (IMO) tonal range and a few damn nice basses. I AM NEVER BUYING ANOTHER BASS AND AM TOTALLY GAS FREE.
