A picket line pales in comparison to the ridiculous cancel culture of today.
The reach these stooges have with social media to rally others together is strong and unfortunately, they're getting things shut down... all by fueling others with incorrect information. And because many using social media believe that everything they read on Facebook is true, they've bought into these lies they see there... made these these twisted opinions their own... aaaaaaaaand things have spiraled downward into a bad place.
And because so many are too lazy to educate themselves properly and enjoy the power of slamming someone anonymously from their couch, Z-berg and his employees consciously fill up Facebook users' walls with lies and venom just so people will stay on the site longer, which sell more ads and fuels the whole thing.
Pretty sad that people buy into this trap... and others with the power to shut it down refuse to do so.

Those of us who know how to read a map and keep in mind where we are on the surface of the earth, continue to do it every day.
Those who have given up their ability to visualize spatial relationships in favor of being told how to get someplace like a rat in a maze ("Now turn right, now turn left, now turn right") can't. Next generation, they won't be able to tell you which direction's east, at 8:00 in the morning of a clear cloudless day. Mark Twain anticipated this surprisingly well.

If he likes influencing huge numbers of people and deciding what politics are acceptable and what aren't, he's probably right where he wants to be. In control of the biggest media platform that has yet existed.
When TB went down a while back, I went into severe withdrawal. I didn't know FB was out until I read about it earlier today. I have an account to see stuff my kids share but never got sucked into the vortex.
It's interesting how much people blame FB and other social media for the world's problems. Those platforms just make it easier for people to do stupid people things more efficiently.
I heard an interview about this the other day and it was mentioned that when an 11 YO was asked about FB they said it was for “old people”, and the interviewer appeared to be confused by the fact that a social media platform dominated by “old people” would be aggressively pursuing young people.
Seems simple enough to me, junkies die.
