I remember seeing a pic of this bass a few months ago here, and I'm as stunned now as I was then. I never knew George was a closet ERB builder!!!!

Judging how good the C string sounds on my BN6, I'll bet the high F sounds wonerful.

I'm with Fig, I saw this a few months ago. I wonder if George will be seriously entering the ERB world or if this one was a special order.

Either way, it's a gorgeous bass.

  13. String spacing would probably be too tight for me.

    (Keep telling yourself that...that way you won't want one...string spacing too tight...repeat the mantra...string spacing too tight...yes, that's it...string spacing too tight...excellent...)

Nah, you could get used to it. Just think, in 2 weeks you would be all over that board.

Sorry, did I screw up your mantra?

That bass looks so naturtally comfortable to play. Especially for an 8-string.
I cannot wait until I goto the F-bass Factory!! :hyper: :hyper:

This was sold to a Japanese customer. It would cost about twice as much as a BN5 to reproduce (based on a quote from George). I actually thought about it.

  19. needs at least 6 more strings.

...TWICE as much as a BN5!!!???!!!...WHY!?...

    ~S~

PS: Definetly a beauty, but that $$$ increase is steep, not even considering fancy tops...
