Most people who've played it say the same thing. I actually considered selling it to raise funds for the Buckeye 5 but came to my senses when I plugged it in. Time to sell something else.

I have two basses with Spalted Maple ramps that match the tops of the basses. The problem is... I like the black ones


It's a personal preference. I considered clear but that would be no more appealing than the matching ones I have.

Stunning collection. I just purchased my 8th Bass - I owned only two for the past 15 years or so and then I found TalkBass and the Classifieds here. It would take 7 of mine to equal one of those I think. But I still love them and I am Happy and fortunate.

That's really what's important.

I think I had around three basses ten years ago. Then a combination of travelling and having to be on the web for work resulted in me finding all sorts of crazy deals.

Which one is your favorite and/or which one is your main gigger?

Normally I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite but after this weekend's gigs it's pretty clear the fretless six would be it. I took it and the Buckeye Burl five out again and again the fretless is the one that "called" to me. Close enough to a fretted, even when slapped and can go completely over the top fretless... and all points in between. I got home after 2 o'clock this morning, plugged in and played some more.

I could just keep this and the Buckeye Burl five and be happy... but I think I'll keep the rest too.
