I had all my basses/guitars in one room today...holy crap. That hasn't been done in a while.
Not bad for 14, eh? I bought them all myself, except the Strat was bought for me cause it was dirt cheap, and the G-3 is my dads.

Okay, so let's see what you got here...

You've got your Strat, your Les Paul, an SG with a Bigsby, some other two-humbucker guitar, a dreadnought acoustic, a funky small body acoustic, a Jazz bass, a soapbar bass and the Gibson 3-pickup bass.

That's pretty dang good for 14. You've got most of the major food groups covered. All you lack is a Tele and a P bass.

My advice would be to trade one of your humbucker guitars for a Telecaster, then save up for a P bass of some kind. Then you'd be totally well rounded.

I've been thinking about a Squier Tele, or some sort of Ibanez. I mean, just for fun. It won't be anytime soon. Anther year, another instrument...lol.

's ok. I think your drumming is the weakest part of that recording. Work on your timing. Once you have the drumming down solid, you'll be able to tighten up the other parts.
Sounds like you're kind of like I was back in the day. I played 6 instruments. Problem with that is, you never really MASTER any one of them...you just get decent at all of them. Becareful not to slip into that. Sometimes it's best to just focus on one instrument for a few years and get good at it, then branch out from that.

BTW, nice collection! I didn't have ANY instruments at 14. I'm glad your parents are supportive. :)

I happily agree! My drumming needs work, i'm getting into the habit of playing a half an hour a day with a click. I'm something I've put off for a while. For the past 4 years, i've strongly focused on guitar playing, but played for a year before. About a year and a half ago, my parents (who play drums and keyboard) asked me to fill in for bass for a gig because they went through 2 bassists. I said sure. I learned the songs in 2 weeks, and the whole band loved my bass playing. I stayed a part of that band for a while, playing both guitar and bass sometimes, and all other instruments were put off big time. My guitar chops died off, and I couldn't play full song on drums anymore. So for the past few months, between what was work and what is now school, i've been trying to squeeze in as much of every instrument as I can.

Thanks for constructive criticism though!
