Just a couple for me as well:

Victor Wooten (as well as Bela Fleck and the Flecktones)

John Pattitucci (couple of clinics)

Sean Malone (not really famous but I took lessons with him almost 10 years ago)

EDIT: I forgot about Mark Egan. He was weird.

Dean Dinning. I played blackjack at the same table with him in Vegas years ago after a Toad show at the Hard Rock Hotel. Not a good place to talk his ear off, but he was a nice guy when we spoke as he was leaving.

David Ellefson - F5, Megadeth (Met him at an F5 show)
Jason Ward - Flotsam and Jetsam (used my personal gear at a show)
Steve Digiorgio - Sadus, Testament, Death (Testament in-store signing)
Jim Sheppard - Nevermore, Sanctuary (Met him after a Nevermore show and talked shop)

That's off the top of my head...or maybe just the most memorable (??).

Forgot a few others:

Bruce Thomas of Elvis Costello's Attractions: introduced to him at an after-party following a Costello show at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Very, gracious, sweaty, and not much of a talker in my recollection. This show was opened by:

Nick Lowe and his Cowboy Outfit. Lowe was nice and very, very tall.

Met Elvis C. too, but I imagine that does not count as he's not a bassist. But I'll say for the record that he, too, was surprisingly tall (I'm 6' BTW).

I've met Stu Hamm several times, even caught a plane together once. The second time meeting Stu I asked about how the European G3 was (It had Micheal Schenker on it). He said it was the worst one ever as Schenker was such a mess that he had buckets on each side of the stage to puke in!!! That was great. I always remind him of that and he remembers who I am, lol.

I've met Paul Grey a few times, always a very nice cat. Fieldy, Victor Wooten, Micheal Anthony (always very nice), Billy Sheehan, etc.... I've met so many different guys I cannot even remember. The two who stand out the most are not bass players however.
Years ago Jimmy Page was hanging out in my area while recording an album with David Coverdale (who lives about 45 miles away). Mr. Page came to a couple of clubs my band was playing in at the time. He was always very nice but I never even got a picture or autograph.

Last year I met Bono. That was very cool and he was very nice, nice enough to even take a picture with me. Then the next week I see him on the tv at the G8 Summit. I thought quite a bit more of him in that he even gave me the time of day needless to say shoot the sheet for a minute or two and take a picture.

One that I didn't meet that I wish I had, John Entwistle. He was walking one way down an isle and I was walking the other way, he died a month or two later.

The one that I havn't met but really want to: John Paul Jones!!! Anyone meet Jonesy???

BTW, I can't believe I forgot to list JOHN ENTWISTLE!!! (gotta check my meds, I buried the lead. In my defense it wasn't at a gig but at an art gallery). I forgot to list Kenny Gradney (Little Feat) as well, I should have waited till I got home to post.

The Sting auto was a gift from a friend with better connections than I have.

Carol Kaye, Ray Brown, Micheal Rhodes, John Entwistle, Billy Shehann, Freebo, Rosemary Butler (bassist before she became well known as the "go-to" backup singer for the LA singer/songwriter crowd), and Jeff Berlin (who is a pretty cool guy in person).

And non bassists include George Van Eps, Mel Bay, Rick Neilsen, and Albert Collins.

But, Pedro met Jerry Jemmott, so he wins!

I've since had the opportunity to play in many bands, and some got to be pretty popular on our little local scene. That incident in memory, I always endeavored to be as gracious and giving to any band followers -- with and without breasts -- who cared to approach me. It's a little thing. But Mom was right when she said it's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice. :D
