Famous Big Muff bass lines

TIRO is the DI and dry bass. I have the patch, and I can play it no problem, sounds exactly like the album.

Hysteria is a mystery still .I did speak with Chris personally, and I asked him. He said it was Muff/DI/Clean... However he told Bass Player Mag that it is Muff/Animato/DI/Mic'ed cab and a synth under it.

No idea really. Everytime I get close, I get further away.

I tell you what, I can get a pretty convincing Hysteria tone on just my Bass Big Muff (volume and tone set to around 10.5, sustain set almost full on, dry mode) through my Markbass SD800 with the EQ set flat and the VPF turned up to around (from memory) 3 with my single H StingRay.
