Famous musicians who play Stingrays?

Not exactly rip-it-up famous but
John Rees from Men At Work
and Michael Steele from the Bangles used a Sabre.
And the guy from EMF in the early 90's.

yeah, now that I look at it, this is not a very inspiring list!

How famous are we talking here? I don't know any of their names, but the bass players from these bands are Stingray players:

Billy Talent
Maps & Atlases (Groovy, I think this guy plays with flats!)
Chevelle (the original guy, at least)
Reel Big Fish
Anti-Flag (he's moved on to P basses)
At the Drive-In/Sparta (is this the same guy?)
Circa Survive
The Cure
Dredg

Alright I'm bored but that's a start for things I listen to on occasion. I'm going to guess everyone posting in this thread plays a Ray, too, but I'm surely not famous! Can't speak for the rest.

As far as Chevelle goes-when I saw them back in 09, their bass player played a Gibson T-bird.

Oops- the Chevelle reference just reminded me of another guy:
Eric Bass form Shinedown used to play them (I saw them on the same bill w/Chevelle) But now he has a sig model from Dean

^Reel Big Fish- Matt Wong ^ Excellent bass player. I hate he left the band. The replacement is a great player, but Matt had that feel that made Reel Big Fish. I hope he starts another project in a couple years after his daughter is in school.

Also, Chevelle's bassist (singers cousin) that replaced the old bassist (singer's brother) plays a Rickenbacker. Just saw them last summer. AWESOME live band.

I believe he also used Warwick at one point too

On the Blue album, he played a Fender Jazz.

Yea Flea had a few. Back in his Ampeg days. Pino Palladino rocks a fretless here and there. Also, the dude from Linkin Park has about a million 4's and 5's, Tim Commerford from Rage used one a long time ago, Johnny Christ of Avenge Sevenfold, Mickey Madden of Maroon5 used a 5er (not sure if he still does. He's been switching from those, Sadowski's and now 62 P's). There are so many! John Myung uses a Bongo. Not a Stingray, but still MM.

Not to sidetrack, but Flea has always played GK heads with Mesa bottoms then Gk bottoms. The guy from The Cars plays a SR.
