played in front of Scott "Wino" Weinrich (really nice guy), Kent Stump, Gary Busey, Vivian Campbell, Mark Hamil, Miguel Ferrer, Billy Mumy and Otep Shamaya (what a tool!)

We used to regularly play a bar in Carmel, California. Clint Eastwood would come by occasionally and listen to the band.

I remember Clint Eastwood used to have a restaurant there in Carmel. I believe the name was The Hog's Nest I think. The sandwiches were named after some of his movie titles. I remember the Dirty Harry burger...lol

Shared a bill with Paul Thorn a few years ago on a corporate gig. The gig was my company's event, and we put together a line-up of all company folks. Oddly enough, we were the headliner and The Paul Thorn Band opened for us. He and one of his guys came up and sang a few songs with us. Pretty cool. He and his guys are a great hang.

Its Dougs thing....he is helping me build my mini board....Here a taste! he just redid the whole board to fit into two cases for NAMM....doing a demo with Victor Wooten I believe.

Does anyone know what effect that is to make the bass sound like a lead guitar ?

He uses a combo of overdrive, fuzz and a Whammy pedal....the original guitar model!

Invalid Link Removed turned up at one of our gigs and it happened to be the night we all looked like complete plonkers performing a night of cheesy 80's hair metal and rock covers for a "Rock of Ages" night. as if it could get any worse we were all wearing spandex and wigs and all but one of my band mates are big fans of his

Maybe he is famous over there? Never heard of him, the band, or the magazine!

This all happened in one trip: They're not super famous, but I visited my brother in Raleigh/Durham several years ago and he asked me to bring my trumpet. I hadn't played for close to a decade, but whatever. His band was set to play a festival and he wanted to add horns and auxiliary percussion, etc. The first night of the festival we played with Man Man, who I had seen opening for Modest Mouse a couple months prior, and The Mountain Goats who are good friends with my brother. My brother gets a call the next day and the local NPR station wants us to come in and play a few tunes. The other guest is author/actor Amy Sedaris from Strangers with Candy (and author David Sedaris' sister). She stayed after her interview to watch us and took photos with us. Super nice. Later that night we play the second gig of the festival right after David Bazan of Pedro the Lion finished playing. Also a super nice guy and now good friends with my brother.

Joe Frazier showed up on a couple of my gigs and always got up and sang Mustang Sally with the band. The last time it happened was just shortly before he passed away.
