I do like that series. It's an option, but I'd love the more "Jetsons" late 50's vibe....
Here's what I would do. (But I'm a pretty handy guy with handy friends and family.)
I would poke around flea markets and antique stores for a TV, stereo, or some other appliance that already fits the vibe. Then I would work a bass amp into that. The hardest part is the physics of getting the proper drivers for the cab dimensions. But there are people here who will help with that. (Or you could simply call US Speaker and they'll do the math for you if you give them the interior dimensions.)
Make it a fun project. Turn an old TV or stereo into a living room bass combo.
If you're mainly using it a home, another option is to get a guitar amp and upgrade the speakers and enclose the cab. Several guitar amp companies make Jetsons style amps. Most tube amps work well with either guitar or bass. Again, obey the laws if physics with the speaker and you're all set. Enclose the back of the cab if it's open. Use the interior dimensions to pick a driver. And youreoff and running.
It may take some effort. But it sounds like a fun project.

That sounds like a great idea... find a 50s radiogram and convert it into a bass combo.
Don't these fit the bill? Or not fancy enough? (I'm guessing you mean atomic-50's styling.) Ampeg PF-20T with 112HLF cab. If you went with the PF-210HF cab it'd be a little bit more compact (shorter), and it'd work with the 20T as a flip-top, if you ever intend to carry it around. Mine in the pic on the right is the PF-50T with the 115HE and between gigs it sits in my retro-themed living room and looks like a kit Elroy Jetson built. To me the 20T is more stylish with fewer knobs, no buttons and only 1 input.

I have a B-15N(C) and with that light up logo they look great on stage. It's a very Art Neuvo design when you look at it. Plus it works great as a space heater for those cold nights in your living room.
They have the added value of sounding really great with a bass.
And yes my chrome logo is going uphill, I didn't want to re drill the mounting holes.

I think we discussed this before but if you want to get the green glow back in the plexi logo you can swap in some green leds with the #47 base. I used a set of ultra bright ones here, you can also get more diffuse/softer ones. Got mine through comet pinball.
Niiiice! I’m looking into TV Jones thundetrons in a very similar build.
