"Fast" neck bass

Older, wenge-necked Warwicks are very playable. IMO NOTHING like the current stuff, although I notice peeps saying 09s(IIRC)& on are *slim* again...

No to this and the copies.... standard string spacing is 19mm.

He asked for tight spacing. The Ibanez is what this man wants. It has a slim fast neck and the spacing is 16.5mm on a 5'er.

Sounds like you're describing a Peavey BQuad or GBass

How about a neck that is only 1 and 1/2 inches wide at the top and less than an inch thick, with string spacing only 2 inches wide at the bridge? Written up as "the fastest neck in the west". I'm not sure you can do better than my all original 1965 vintage Hagstrom H IIB/F400. And it's for sale! The patented King's Neck H Truss has kept it straight all these years. Alright, I'll say it...Ibanez SR basses.

+1 I am a Fender player and I tried one recently and man ohh man was that neck fast and smooth. Also, the Bart pups are boss.

Try a Peavey Foundation. I have a Foundation fretless and the width at the nut makes my Geddy feel like it needs to go on a diet!
