I've done some search and people don't seem to fully agree on this. I'm looking for an octave pedal to get a really wet sub-octave sound for house and electronica basslines, Daft Punk style. I would need a pedal with a really fast tracking. Suggestions?

Fastest tracking octave

Haven't tried either but going from what is commonly said around here...
The POG, MicroPOG or POG2 will track fastest. These are digital and can sound a bit too 'clean' for some people.
The newish MXR Bass Octave Deluxe sounds really fat and growly. The tracking is apparently not as good as the POG pedals but that what is to be expected from an analog octaver.
The POG2 has a low pass slider so the tone can be tamed a little; some of the highs taken out to make it sound a bit more natural.
Again, just remember that I'm just going by what I've read.

Those 3 all track very well, the note sounds the instant that you hit it with no delay, and they will allow you to play as fast as you can do so cleanly with no extra string vibrations.
The various POGs track very well, have polyphony so you can kinda play chords, and get away with sloppy technique. The POGs/HOG have a very slight delay from the time that you hit the note and it actually producing the octave-- almost sounds like the quickest slapback echo ever, and in a band context no one would notice it.
For daft punk stuff and whatever else, I'd get one of the 3 analog octavers mentioned first, but the xOG's would do the trick as well.

I have experience with the OC-2 and the EBS Octabass. The OC-2 is the pedal you are looking for out of those two. It will give you a much more synthy and less organic tone but it is perfect for the electronica tone that you are looking for. It is probably one of the cheaper octavers as well. I just got my OC-2 a couple of weeks ago and it has become the pedal I use most in no time flat.
After doing a bit of a listen to an OC-2 and a Micro-POG with a bass tuned down to C.
For me the POG was more accurate.
But the difference was nowhere near as large as some people might think. The OC-2 was very good.
The main difference to me was that the POG sounded "cleaner" if that means anything to you, and that the tracking was just very slightly more spot on.

I have a microPOG, it tracks fast and perfectly. It tracks low notes without problem too (DOD octoplus is garbage on E string, forget a low B). MicroPOG sounds a little synthy but I have no problem with it.
The Octoplus tracks pretty damn well for an analog octaver. It doesn't quite get to open E for me, but it gets close. The OC-2 gets about a note lower than the Octoplus with my pbass, but the Octoplus's tone sounds more substantial below the low A than the OC-2 through my rig-- what ever it puts out, my rig reproduces more of it (ie low G, 100% wet -1oct.. lowww)
Either way, if its synthy dance music where you will generally be using the -1oct 100% wet, and not playing anywhere near the physical low E or B, the Octoplus and OC-2 will comfortably reproduce inaudible sub frequencies and sound fatter and warmer in the freqs you can hear
A good octave-fuzz-filter set up will get you that tone and more. For instance, analog octave+gated fuzz+filter with expression and envelope level control. ie OC-2-BrownDog-MoogLowpass, or Octoplus-fuzz in loop of meatball clone, with or with out exp pedal. (you can set the depth and attack/decay for very little envelope and just a little of the fuzz/texture coming through on top, and the resonance low so the sound of filter sweep isn't overpowering)
my ebs octabass has no problems tracking as far as i know. sometimes it may act a little weird, but overall i have no problems

where ever you end up with respect to an Octaver, I have found that the tracking can vary widely in a given pedal, depending on the input signal. I nice hot, compressed signal can improve the tracking on many of the aforementioned devices. I think this is why you get so many varied responses on the same pedal.

FWIW, I get much better tracking on the OC-3 in poly mode, than I could ever get on the OC-2. And in my application, the micro POG is the cats Meow.... The BMS reacts much better to my hot active basses than my passive ones.

I think the MXR BOD has rather slow tracking. It seems to track lower notes better than other pedals, but they had to be long, sustained notes. I haven't tried a POG, but I'm quite happy with the tracking of the Boss OC-3 in Poly mode, guitar input. It's less glitchy if your playing isn't absolutely perfect and tracks well.
The POGs track well because they are polyphonic and digital. Any errant string vibrations aren't going to glitch it out like a monophonic pedal will. That said I prefer the sound of my monophonic/analog OC-2 with no direct level. Through a dash of dirt behind it and I love the sound I get out of it.
It takes using a refined, clean technique. Any dead spots and it's glitch city. I always play an octave above normal when I use my OC-2. Without plugging it in I'd say it won't go as far as E on the A string. I may not be remembering correctly though. Any lower than that and you are beyond the realm of human hearing anyway.
As far as fast tracking,...I can't speak for others but the OC-2 is instant.

I don't own an OC-2 but have played around on my friends one. It tracks my EBS Vintage 4 flawlessly down to low F but is a little sketchy on the open E.
I was really surprised at how fast and accurate it was after hearing from people on here that the tracking isn't very good. Think I may have to buy one now

I agree. Great tracking until it gets to an open E or below.
Does anyone have any comments on how the low octave on the BMS compares to other octavers?
I like the low octive on the bass micro synth. I have compared it with the sub octive effects on my ashdown amp the digitech bp200 and pod x3 live.
