Fat Thick Warm and Clean

I have this tone in my head of a bass that has a fat thick warm and clean tone ( i.e. not muddy). Is there such a bass out there or must I get a bass combined with a rig to get what I have in my head. Suggestions of a bass or bass plus rig would be appreciated.

Brown Sugar tastes ssoooo good. I think you need a Fender P with Gallien Krueger amplification for the clean low end. If not warm enough, SVT will warm it up too.

A P or J bass through a Sansamp or VT bass pedal set to clean - plus a nice power amp - will do that all night, baby.
