Favorite Album Through The Decades

Now THAT is a darn fine choice.

I find it really hard to do these kinds of things. I like so much music from so many decades and so many parts of the globe.

I can tell you three of my perennial favorite 60s albums are (in no particular order):

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND HIS MAGIC BAND- Safe As Milk
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND- The V.U. & Nico
THE MONKS- Black Monk Time

70s would have to include:

BLACK SABBATH- Master of Reality
DEVO- Are We Not Men?
FUNKADELIC- Maggot Brain

...man, this is hard. Even trying to narrow it down to three per decade.

Have to get back to you on the 80s to the 00s.

I suck at narrowing down too. I listed the ones that I constantly go back to and listen to. Every one of these gets a listen several times a year and are among my very favs of all time.

1960's : Led Zeppelin I | Stand! ~ Sly and the Family Stone

1970's : Hot August Night ~ Neil Diamond | Dark Side of the Moon ~ Pink Floyd | Sex Machine ~ James Brown

1980's : Planet P ~ Planet P Project | The Joshua Tree ~ U2 | Purple Rain ~ Prince | Duran Duran ~ Duran Duran (I could go on and on in this decade)

1990's : Parklife ~ Blur | Dirt ~ Alice in Chains | Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain ~ Pavement ( local boys makin' noise! ) | Sublime ~ Sublime | Train ~ Train

2000's : Train ~ Meet Virginia | Cage the Elephant ~ Cage the Elephant | Phobia ~ Breaking Benjamin

60's- 70's... I wasn't even aware they had made any rock albums after about '73

King Crimson- In the Court of the Crimson King.

David Bowie- Ziggy Stardust

and last, but definitely not least.... Wishbone Ash- Argus- maybe the single greatest album ever made.
