Favorite all tube amp?

I bought a Pignose B100V head at a pawnshop, freaking awesome little amp for the price (less than a quarter of what I paid for my used mid 90s SVT) It has four 6L6s, and is absolutely bare bones, no standby switch, no balenced out etc, the tone controls barely do anything but I don't care because it's just awesome for smaller gigs and practicing. It can't touch the Ampeg but dollar for dollar it's rediculous how close it comes. It was designed by a guy that designed for Ampeg and it's made in China. I've looked inside and it seems like decent quality, robust enough.

Got my Pignose used, shipped from GC Vegas last summer, for the ridiculous price of $170. This is a great combo. Bigger than I had thought, but , it's all tubes. The kicker is that I play a Squier VM P BASS (Tele bass) with the big humbucker under the neck. I run it thru a Tech 21 VT bass pedal--- and instant karma! Huge tubey goodness. Extremely big, round sound. I have 2 other p basses, 1 a '68, 1 a MIM with Duncans. But this rig is the one I use for most gigs. I also use an Ampeg B100R , which for a ss, is an awesome, big fat tube sounding rig. But dollar for dollar I love the pignose, and it looks really really cool.

Here is my fave from 1968, It was built for the Rola Celestion speaker test shop at Foxhall Rd so fully output meter'd up lab version with all sockets transfered to the front panel instead of a tolexed wooden sleeve it has a 3/16" thick steel sleeve:

Its got all partridge transformers and choke, an Ef 86 smooth plate pentode + 3 12ax7's in the Pre + 4 el34fx2's in the power and dual Rg4g rectumfires in the supply!.
And its all running mullard tubes.

and then theres Simms watts and hiwatts, roosts and sound cities and marhall majors and.... there mine I tell you all mine I must have them all.:hyper:

I also gotta point out that the Mesa bass 400 and 400+ are very different amps. The 400+ has more eq bands on its graphic, so you can make some very annoying upper mid things happen with that heads eq. Also, I am not sure if it is even possible to get a 400+ into power tube overdrive. The 400+ has 12 tubes it runs very conservatively to get about 350 watts. I know it is possible to do on a regular old Bass 400. The 400 has 6 tubes it runs a bit harder to get 250 watts.

Its not that unique unfortunately Huddersfield Radio Ltd, before they where even officially called Matamp made a variety of equipment for all sorts of applications luckily even PA for bingo halls!?.
My mate found a really dusty old Matamp Slave 200 Amp under a stage, the bingo club owners didn't even know it was there.
Brought it up nice and slow on a Variac and away it went like a goodn.
