I'm a big fan of Joe Principe, overall he's not the most respected bass player in the world but I'm a fan of his playing and he's very humble.

What the heck, I'm too eclectic to have just one, but I'll toss out three - workmanlike but never boring Abe Laboriel, Nathan East and Lee Sklar. These guys epitomize one quality I admire the most in any bassist, the ability to capably span many genres and styles.
