Actually RotoSound PSD99's have the prettiest packaging. The box is pink, but I don't know how the actual strings are, haven't put them on yet... But RotoSound Swing 66 for me, I just wish the silk was black and not red.

DRs are awesome
Elixirs are also great, they last for months (IMO there is a slight compromise in tone, worth it though)

I've been using Elixir's now on my fretted 4 Spector for almost 4 years. Most of my gigs here in sunny happy FL are outside on the water (at the beach) and the Roto's, Blue Steel, GH, and DR's all made it about 3 weeks before they just weren't right. I can get about 3-4 months out of a set of Elixir's before they're done. Rotosound 77LD on the fretless, and so far they're not crappy yet after 5 months, but I need a much flatter tone on that bass.

I prefer S.I.T Hex wounds. They have a very odd sound to them, not for everyone. Also, being Hexwounds, they can hurt your fingertips if you haven't built up callouses. Still, I like them due to their metallic and aggressive tone.

I love the Dean Markley Blue Steels. They last a long time! Ive had a pair on my bass for two months and only now are they starting to wear out. And I play alot!

Right now I'm using DR Nickel Plated Lo-Riders and loving them. Sound just like SS Lo-Riders, but with less of that nasty treble.

I bounce back and forth between Ernie Ball and DR depending on my mood and the size of my checking account.

S.I.T...is that a company? Can't say I've heard of 'em, but these strings sound intriguing

After only laying for 4 years, I try different strings every time I get new ones. I like some, hate others, but there are so many out there its dumb to stick with one when only so far in.

For the most part, I go to D'Addario Nickel XL's for my rounds, and Chromes for my flats... except on my Yammy. It wears Fender Nickel plated steel rounds.
