1) to create strength in your fingers, just plain simple 1-2-3-4 , 4-3-2-1 , 4-2-3-1 , etc etc etc on all of your strings

2) And to train your ears, try Pacman's scale exercise, I think it's a sticky post, so it's easy to find

I practice all techniques using arpeggios of G scale.

1st week Gmajor.
2nd week Aminor.
3rd week F#disminished.
4th week Bminor... I'm on 4th week.

I do my arpeggio on the whole neck and I include inversions (I mean to play from lower string to higher string and from fret 0 to fret 24 ).

I practice all days like 1 hour and then I jam on my week arpeggio. I feel I play like great musicians in just one chord, jaja. But the secret is to work just on 3 notes, then I can join all my arpeggios and play whole G scale if I want.

This week I do all my exercises and jammings on Bminor.

It's good for a begginer with no teacher like me.

Be cool....
