Depends on the color of the body. I don't really care what wood it's made out of as far as sound goes.

I don't know too many bass guitars with graphite fretboards, just graphite necks. Maybe there are some I just don't know about.

I voted 'other' as I don't know that I could nail it down to one. I like my Stammie's Maccassar ebony, my Warwick's wenge, my grungy old P's rosewood & I'd LOVE a black-blocked maple Jazz neck. Had a fretless Stambaugh 4 w/a sweet cocobolo fingerboard. Nope- can't decide. I like them all best.

I like maple, but there are a lot of boutique basses with some really nice exotic woods (if you can afford those)

A better term would be "Composite".
Ebonol, Modulus phenolic, Curbow Rockwood - all those are different types of composites. I have yet to see a graphite fretboard.

I don't have a favorite. I have basses with Rosewood, Pau Ferro, Ebony, and Maple. I like them all.

I gots Maple, Morado (Pau Ferro), and Rosewood boards...

If I HAD to choose, I'd say Morado... its right in the middle in terms of tone between Maple and Rosewood. Warm like rosewood but a faster upper mid attack like maple.

I'm not a big fan of rosewood. I have a rosewood on my P and it's not bad, so maybe it's in my head. Maple is the way I think . . . although I've enjoyed the Pao Fero board on my J V . . .

Ebony, though it really depends on the body and other stuff. I'm more about looks than the debatable sound/tonal qualities of the fingerboard.
