Lakland, MusicMan, the old SX headstock (very Lakland-esque), and F-Bass. Headstock shape matters a lot to me. If I hate how a bass looks, I won't play it. I guess it comes from being in graphic arts/design... Aesthetics matter! Well, to me at least...

i still really like the fender telecaster headstock especially for a bass,then its the musicman, then the regular fender strat shape.

It's gotta be the Classic 80's Pointy Headstock, preferably reversed and the BC Rich headstock over the Jacksons or Charvels, but either way it's gotta be the pointy..

Wish my charvel Headstock was reversed...

I agree with these, though as a dedicated 5ver player, I have to say that I really like the 4+1 Fender headstock and the slightly crazed-looking 3+2 Lakland.

BUT I think that Ernie ball missed the boat somehow with their 5-string 'stocks. The bump and the lower tuner just don't line up properly. Looks clumsy to me.
