Favorite Jazz bass knock off?

My J&D surf green Jazz. One of the cheapest basses I ever had, but I love it.
It's become THE bass for one of my bands.


That's not me, it's the singer in said band, trying the bass.

Good call! For me it's probably a tossup between those, a Sadowsky, and the old 1980s-era American Schecters.

For my money: G&L JB, no question. These are boutique quality, but heavier than most boutiques I've tried.

Cost no object: Dingwall, or for traditional, Mike Lull. I've tried several Lulls over the years, and every one has been outstanding.

That's my thought as well. I really dig my G&L JB, but a I certainly wouldn't kick a Lull out of the house.
