I may get lynched for this, but I really like Mike Dirnt. I know, I know, it's pop-punk. His lines are just so darn tasty.

This. Dirnt holds himself really well in his genre. Do I like his tone/technique? Meh, it's cool for a punk rocker. Do I like his lines? Some are quite cool!

But in the genre, he's one of the best!

Flea played in Fear.

To sidetrack the thread a tiny bit; this video was from before Flea joined the band i believe. Fear played Saturday Night Live, and things got rowdy. Several other punk/hardcore heavy-hitters can also be seen thrashing in the video.

Well there is only one.... Jean Jacques Burnel from The Stranglers. They were THE original punk band. Check out the demos on YouTube from spring 1975. Way before any of the other so-called 'punk' bands...

Nice. I haven't seen them in years. Can't even remember the last time but Fletcher got me and a few friends into a show at the Troc in Philly when I was in high school. Super awesome guys.
