I'm not trying to be the Dream Police, but in the spirit of the OP, I would like to point out that ALL of these bands formed (with their best known line-up) PRIOR to 1990.

True, but LZ, Deep Purple, and Sabbath are thought of as 70s bands although they formed in 1968. I think if a band does most of their known work after 90 they're probably ok.
some people's definition of rock is way off.

This would be a great thread if it were retitled "Name Every Band Since 1990 That You Can Think Of."
I think it shows that there is a lot more going on in the music world then people believe. It's not hard to believe that with YouTube and streaming apps that people's favorites are this varied.
I also think that it shows the 90s bands had a bigger impact then a lot of people give them credit for.
A college buddy of mine only listened to Grateful Dead bootlegs. He still does. Some of ya'll need to get out to some music festivals instead of listening to LP's on the porch while shaking your cane at the local hooligans. I love all the 50's through 90's music too, but I feel sad for anyone who can't find anything new they like. You just don't want to. I'm not going to list any bands, because someone will complain it's not rock and roll according to their own made up criteria that only includes (your old music here)
