It was certainly one of the more brutal (especially towards the end) TV shows I remember from my youth. It could have been spectacular if it had been able to go the full run!

Still remember seeing the start of the first episode and getting hooked. Had some great cameo's too, with folks like The Gunny (R. Lee Ermey) and David Duchovny!

These very popular shows at least lasted 2 or 3 years but were cancelled anyway.

Night Gallery was on for 3 seasons and 46 episodes; so, while not all that short lived, it was very cool

The Monkees were only on TV for 2 seasons and 58 episodes.

The Munsters were on TV for 2 seasons but 70 episodes were aired. That is still one of my favorite shows.

The Addams Family was also only on for 2 seasons with 64 episodes.

In the 60s, many TV shows had new episodes every week for 30 - 35 weeks and reruns were aired in the summer months and during holiday weeks. If you missed a show when it was new, you had to wait for syndicated airings years later. No VCRs, DVDs, or TiVO back then.

F Troop was another...

Leave It To Beaver & The Dick Van Dyke Show had 30+ epis/season, too (IIRC).

I have absolutely zero recollection of the TV series, but I'm pretty sure I can still hum the theme song...mostly because, as little kids we sang a version with puerile & profane lyric substitutions.

It's About Time had 2 different theme songs - one for when the Astronauts went back in time to the prehistoric era and one when the cavemen came to the present time. The premise of the show changed halfway through the one and only season.

While the original Outer Limits TV show was in black and white, there was a series of trading cards that were in color. I still have mine and they are very collectible.
