Favorite simple song?

the cure - a forest

good pick.

I dunno whythe earlier post i did in this i didnt think this was about basslines so i named a simple song in general....oops. There'spretty much no bass in it.

Simple basslines fun to play, well ok, most Cure basslines actually including the one already named. I could add Fascination Street, Just Like heaven, Close to me, A night like this, list goes on and on, just naming the simplest ones.

Some people have named some U2,yeah, very simple and driving i'd go with Where the streets have no names.

Pulp, Like a Friend.

Everlong - Foo Fighters

Technically not 3 notes, but you only have to fret 3 with the open dropped D. :)

I also like Roadhouse Blues as a "simple, get 'em on a dance floor, don't have to peek at my fingers so I can check out the hotties" song.

Rock on,
'Bolt

hollywood nites , bob seeger( bruce springsteen) we do it in A and thats pretty much it but me and the drummer lock in and make a fuss at the end of each 4 bars and i also sing harmony and both gits get a chance to show their stuff, and its a good floor filler and you can fill it with dynamics.

rush might not belong on this thread... :p
but Bravado off of Roll the Bones is pretty simple, fun to sing with, and a very moving piece. it was the second rush song i learned to play (after The Pass, also a simple yet good song from that era) and its still one of my favorites.

Stoned Love - Supremes
Stop! In the Name of Love - Supremes
My Favorite Mistake - Sheryl Crow
Best of Both Worlds - Robert Palmer - except for that crazy fill at the bridge
Tumbling Dice - Rolling Stones
Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder - all first position pentatonic
+1 Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
