I’m going to give a shout-out to those bass players who were under the radar, owing to the fact that they weren’t innovators, didn’t play flashy lines, probably stood in the back, but were still solid, delivered the goods, and provided the necessary support. Although it made the rounds of film festivals a couple of years ago, it’s just now going into wide release. White would always play some tasty stuff, and as simple as the bassline to “Time Of The Season” is, the song wouldn’t be the same without it.
