What did you use for JFETs? If you have a preferred type, and reliable supplier, I'll mention it at my web page.

I used 2n4416s. I get most of my components from Tayda, but I had to search elsewhere and pay a premium for these. I don't remember where I got them, but they were lik $4 each.

At my "commercial" web page, I posted a report on my JFET research, and it suggests some alternatives. It's quite possible that I bought the remaining world's stock of PN4416's. There's a surface mount MMBF4416 that seems to be readily available, but less pleasant to work with.

I got the Fdeck3 and it literally solved all my problems in one go playing standup bass. The high impedance input fixed the weird issue I was having with disappearing frequencies and the HPF lets me tune the low end for different rooms to avoid feedback. It does its job very well.

For the folks wanting to have the in/out reversed, it is an easy do it yourself fix! I swapped mine out a few months ago in less than 10 minutes, and all you need is a soldering iron and maybe some hookup wire.

I've been considering that mod. I have the skills but have lacked the ambition.

Any sort of instructions? My solder skills are rudimentary, at best, but I'm interested.

Just finished my HPF pretty with input and volume switching to use for doubling. As with all my pedals, my wife did the artwork. No offense to FDeck, but my HPF is prettier than his At least on the outside.

I like this interface better than knobs on the side. Oh well, my Series 3 still works great, especially with the piezo pickup on my acoustic bass.

Then yours is definitely prettier on the inside. Mine stopped working at practice this week. Probably a transistor that worked loose from it's socket, but I need to go trouble shoot it now.

Just dropped my HPF3 from my signal chain recently and haven't missed it. The "sonic filter" on the VTRM made it a little redundant for my current rig.

Interested in hearing more about the show! 80 Hz seems high to me for electric, but I guess that depends on the rig, amp settings, and mix. Violin low G should be, what, ~195 Hz?
