Just a quick question>
Does the fDeck belong in the effects loop or before the input?
Thanks
People have tried it in both, and in also between the pre amp and power amp (for the rack mount gear users). The last pedal in your pedal chain going into the input jack is the recommendation.Just a quick question>

I use the Series 3 with an Alembic F-1X pre, and it works best for me in the loop.Just a quick question>

This way, it also serves as a buffer.People have tried it in both, and in also between the pre amp and power amp (for the rack mount gear users). The last pedal in your pedal chain going into the input jack is the recommendation.
This is where a side chain is useful in compressors.I like mine downstream of any big low end generating effects (octave pedals come to mind), but upstream of compression. It keeps the compressor from working overly hard to tame huge, largely inaudible low end, and keeps its focus on audible content.

I wish there was an indicator ring or escutcheon with values. I dial in by sound, but actual values would be helpful, especially when communicating with the FOH guy.(I have a Series 3) set a bit above its minimum cutoff frequency (low 40s, I'm guessing)
I recall some discussions a while back about why these don't have a form factor like other pedals or don't have a bypass. Either this is a user mod, or FDeck came out with a new layout. That's different than mine
