Warning : this post is not for the faint hearted !
When I read that I though it would solve my problem.
I'm using a Gigrig power supply which works great for most pedals. But for some reason, its power cables don't seem to work with the FEA style power jacks.
Well - they do work. Just not all the time, depending how the cables are oriented. Not something I'd feel confident gigging with.
Frank's post did not solve my issue no matter how much I split the pin.
It did however give me the spark to take my DE-CL apart and run a salvaged battery adapter power cable through the power jack hole.
Since I don't think many people have autopsied their FEA pedal (nor do I think they should) let me tell you this : best attention to detail I've ever seen.
The slight issue I've run into takes nothing away from the quality of FEA's products (or Gigrig's for that matter). Beware stages - here I come with my Dingwall and DE-CL !
The center pin in the power jack is split, so you can spread the center pin a little by using a small knife blade. This will help tighten the connection a bit.
