I did my Duratex in a two car garage with the door down, and it wasn't very noticeable after a few minutes. The next morning (5 hours later) I went out there and could smell it all over again. Not a strong odor, but not easy to ignore either.

Late thanks for the tips, guys. I'm hoping to duratex today....pretty big hope, though. I did buy that batting from WalMart. It's so weird. Even though it's recommended all over....this is like the only thing going in I didn't get from Leland....makes me uneasy. But I know it'll work just as well.

Be unafraid my friend. My two cabs have absolutely no components from Leland (although I do endorse people using Speaker Hardware), and it came out just fine. :)

and bring a 29 year old woman to a full climax just by sitting on a 66 while it is playing (attempting) Eagles Fly Free by Helloween.

I met one of my girlfriends that way very late one night; walked into the laundry room where she was just about to complete the do via an unbalanced load on spin cycle. Rather than fluster and complete embarrassment, she looked at me after through lowered eyelids and said, "Hi. I was just thinking about you..."

...uh...and I said...uh...Oh...wanna come up and check out my bass amp? There we are. Nice and tidy and back on topic.

And for what it's worth, that was the 666th reply (the 667th post, but the 666th reply). That should confirm the Mayan Calendar planetary alignment and subsequent Armageddon with Zombie Porklips following right behind.

I think the misconception with the fEARful x/6/1 cabs vers the fEARful sub is that you see the fEARful x/6/1 as being full range there by meaning that it would have as much lowend as just the strait sub would. The 15/6/1 or or anything other x/6/1 cab has just as much lowend as any of there counter parts do....the only difference is the Sub does not really have much of a range above 1Khz and is lacking in definition.
To me i would much rather have the 15/6/1 with Lpad switches the just a strait sub. at least then if you dont want quite as much definition in the high end you can back it off but at the same time you always have it there when you need it and if you need more the like was already stated add then the sub to complement then system you have.
Trust me if you think you have to have the sub to get the lowend then you thought wrong....cause man them fEARful Cabs Can go CRAZY low wail at the same time still keeping it clean and clear and on top of it if you want even more lowend out of it GreenBoy has plans for adding a Shelf extender for the ports that gives you even more bottom end which i really dont see how it can get any lower then it already is!!
In the End The fEARful X/6/1 cabs Are unlike any other Cab out there for the fact that they dont sacrificial Low end for clarity or clarity for Low end....They Really are the All in One Package!! Best Of luck Mate!! Cheers~Elliot

Hello, I'm thinking about building two 15sub cabinets, does anyone have any insight on how it'd sound?

They'd probably sound fine as PA subs.

If you're wanting to build them without the low pass filter to use as full range bass guitar cabs...not so good. I'd only do it if you wanted mid-midrange gank and no upper mids.

The 3015LF has a sizable spike at around 1.2 or 1.3K with a very steep rolloff after that.

Okay, everybody seems to drive a 15/6 with stupid amounts of power. 15/6 is efficient though and I am wondering about one for shared cab use with an Ampeg B-25B (about 55 watts) and a Mesa 400 plus (slightly north of 300 watts). Yes I know to fully use the potential the Mesa is more in the power range. I own component for rigs up to 1800 watts, but these two are my tone favorites. It helps they both will do an 8 ohm load.
