vlad335: you mentioned having trouble getting it into/out of your car. I'm wondering how it would be to get into a fairly low to the ground wagon type vehicle? Seems like you could back it up to it then kind of tilt it in and slide it the rest of the way.

Indeed you can sir! The easiest cab I have ever gigged with decent volume. (not talkin 1x12 coffee shop here).
Just build it with tilt back wheels and handles and put full length skid rails on the back. Once it's in my Subaru wrx wagon, I can put it up on it's side and stuff pa cabs boards stands and other stuff in. Never lift it. Tilt and slide.

Here is the Art of Noise 15/6. I'm very pleased. 35 1/2 pounds (amazing), and nicely put together.

Sounds GREAT with the Streamliner and the P. The treble control on the Streamliner is voiced nicely to take a bit of the gank out of that mid driver, and the mids boosted at 250hz with the bass either flat or slightly cut results in a very full, warm, articulate tone with my 5 string P with nickel wounds.

Welcome to the club, Ken.

Glad you finally got the cab Ken. I would love to get a video A/B ing the Streamliner vs. the Shuttlemax 9.2.

I've taken myself out of the video business! Just kind of worn out at this point. I promised to post when I got this cab, so there you go!

The Streamliner is really stunning through this cab. The Max 9.2 sounds good too, but doesn't seem to be voiced to take advantage of that big low end capability versus the Streamliner, and is a bit 'much' up top with this particular mid driver IMO. That smooth upper mid response and sweet treble response of the Streamliner, along with the warm, tubey, organic vibe of that amp up top, really goes a long way in taming the rather 'clinical' top end response that comes out of that 18Sound mid driver (IMO).

edit: Think about this.... this cab weighs less than an Epifani UL112!!!! Amazing..... 35 pounds, and it can knock down a wall.

Fair enough. Ken, when you get a chance to play the Streamliner in a mix would you mind commenting on how it sits? Many people have said they find the Streamliner getting lost in mixes. My fEARful experience is with my Shuttlemax 9.2 and I usually fatten it up with a VT bass Deluxe... but always wondered how the Streamliner would fair with a potent mid driver.

Ken, as one of the few to have been able to play both the Thunderchild and fEARful cabs, what can you tell us about how they compare and contrast. Obviously, you have played different size cabs, TC112 vs ff 15/6, and the TC doesn't use a mid driver. However, since both are similar in the overall target of having a flat hifi sound, I'd be interested in your impression.

I have not yet gigged with my new 15/6/1, but I have done a fair amount of gigging with the Streamliner 900, with either the Neox212T or the Uber410 cabs. I was always able clearly hear every note. This is with no PA support, in contexts ranging from folky singer-songwriter (PBass with flats, 212T) to heavy LOUD rock and Pink Floyd covers (Carvin SB5000 or Nordstrand NJ5 with Big Singles, Uber410). My prediction is that with a fEARful, the fundamental and attack of each note will be nice a clear, so you won't need lots of high grindyness to "cut through".

Looking for input here, I already asked on the fEARful forum, but not getting much feedback there (yet?). I have a 15/6/1, and I want to add either another 15/6 or a 15sub. I was originally thinking a matched (reverse baffle) set of 15/6/1's is what I wanted.
What are the tradeoffs (sonic, physical, financial)? 15/6/1+15/6/1 vs. 15/6/1+15sub.

BurningSkies has a 15/6 with 15 sub and will be a better response. My original plan was to go the 15/6/1 and 15 sub route, but ended changing my order for another 15/6/1 for the main ability to have 2 cabs at different locations.

I don't want to put words in BS mouth, but most people feel the 6" mid is soo good that you really only need one to get a great sound..... for me it came down to convience and leaving one at home and another at my drummer's house.

Edit: physical wise the sub and 15/6/1 are not flush as the 15 sub is wider out the back.... wouldn't bother me, but it's something to consider. One thing to note, my 15/6/1 and reverse baffle 15/6/1 is TALL. I am 5'10" and only have a shuttlemax 9.2 on top which is fine. But I wouldn't want to run a full rack up there. If I needed both all the time I would have went with the 1515/66/1 cab which is shorter.
