Fed ex issues

My experiences with Fed ex have been generally good. It’s only been in the last year that I have seen issues. Last May Fed ex lost a Fender bass I ordered from zzounds. They ended up sending me another one, but the barcode having to be replaced on items seems to be a regular occurrence now

(I have posted the video below a few times. Please forgive the redundancy).

I have seen on the fed ex site when I track my orders it will say shipment exception and the barcode was unreadable and had to be replaced. Usually the package will be delayed. I’ve ordered gear online since 2018 and the deliveries always seemed to go smooth. This issue has been going on for the last year? Are unreadable barcodes really the issue? Everything ordered isn’t from the same website either.
Maybe the barcode became unreadable due to something that happened to your package while it was en route.

Your experience is the exact opposite of mine when it comes to handling. I use them exclusively when shipping from Sweetwater and never had problems with instruments or electronics. Maybe it has more to do with the people/workers in your area and not the company specifically. I'm thinking of that scene from Spaceballs where Dark Helmet realizes he's surrounded by a-holes.
Maybe so. But my guess is that, especially in terms of delivery people, the same folks haven't worked for FedEx for the past 20 years... yet my experiences with them span that long. That being said, the worst offenses have happened in the last year and a half or so. I do think we have a bad batch of apathetic delivery workers running their routes for sure,
