Feedback wanted - Trash me if you have to!

Hi there,
I'm playing some ethio-jazz covers with a band, I believe there is A LOT of room for improvement... but I'm having trouble putting my finger on what should be the first priority, So the question is:

In you opinion,
What needs more work?
What would be the first thing you would try to tighten so this band sounds better?
(Fair warning - the recordings are rehearsals, on the fly, 1 take, with a recorder. But perhaps it's the best way to show how tight a band is).

I only listened to portions of a couple of tuners, Marzi and Burgundi Blues, from my phone. Not the ideal listening situation. I could really only hear horns, drums, congas (?). I thought it sounded pretty good. At times I wasn't sure how well the drums and percussion were syncing up. I tried to imagine what it would sound like live with a better mix, and nothing jumped out to me as being grossly off. If I had to make a guess about what could be improved, I'd probably say timing, but that could be because it's what I've been working on. Getting the whole band to have a solid and consistent 16th note "ticker tape" running through is tough for many bands. Overall, I thought y'all sounded good!

What are your thoughts about needs to be improved

Thank you for your input! it sounds a bit messy to me, Both timing and intonation (horns) feel a bit off, It's starting to sound better, but I figured someone with more experience than myself might be able to point me in the right direction...

Too bad more folks haven't piped up. I think these kinds of threads tend to get very little traffic. It's been the case for me before...I hope that you will keep listening with a keen ear and that you reach all the musical goals toy set for yourself!
