Feeling Dumb

The key is to try out your ideas on something you're not concerned about destroying if you screw up. Note the project bass is a Squier Bronco. ;)

Makes sense, but unfortunately, I don't have a bass that I would mind screwing up...maybe my J since it's already a frankenbass, but I also love it...

On the other hand, I have a set of Aerodyne pickups on the way because I thought I was gonna get fancy and swap out the pickups on the Schecter. Turns out I like those pickups more than I thought I did, so maybe a project bass should be in the works? Good opportunity to learn, at least...

Buys a bass, buys replacement pickups for it, decides not to replace the originals, buys a new bass for the pickups. :)

TB does strange things to people ..

about 6-7 years ago we get to gig for setup
I plug my bass into my Ashdown EVO900, plug that into my Warwick 4 x 10, turn it on....but no sound coming from speakers
spend 5 minutes trying to figure out what I've done wrong, change speaker lead, change lead from bass to amp and still no sound
drummer offers to go home and get his 200w rockit bass amp head (NZ Made)... then guitarist comes over to have a look..... we do a trace of the lead from my bass to the amp and find out I've plugged my bass into the 'headphone' socket.... Duh!
plugged bass into the 'input' socket and bingo - all working as it should

it happens to us all!

Never had traveled with luggage, prior to receiving a brand new Ric in a hard shell case with... wait for it...

... luggage locks.

I didn't know how to open it... needless to say, the sales rep I had called for assistance was still laughing when I hung up the phone.

Double D'oh!

I think that is common, I had the issue with a Fender case on which you had to slide the lock sideways to open it.

I had find how on internet though, not with a real person :D
